Position Summary

IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented IT Lead to drive enterprise-wide IT strategy, digital transformation, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing plants and corporate offices. The incumbent will lead SAP Rise adoption, enterprise application integration, Industry 4.0 initiatives, cloud transformation, IT governance, and business continuity while ensuring a secure, scalable, highly available, and GxP-compliant technology environment.

Location: Ludhiana & Barnala, Punjab

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Rise & Enterprise Applications

• Lead implementation, support, enhancement, and continuous optimization of SAP Rise.

• Manage the SAP ecosystem including SAP SuccessFactors and integration with enterprise applications.

• Ensure seamless integration between SAP and third-party business systems.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to streamline and automate business processes.

• Drive SAP governance, performance optimization, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure high system availability and user adoption across business functions.

2. Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0

• Lead the organization's digital transformation roadmap.

• Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies to digitize and automate business processes.

• Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives across manufacturing operations.

• Promote data-driven decision-making through digital technologies.

• Improve operational efficiency through automation, AI-enabled solutions, and process optimization.

• Lead infrastructure modernization and enterprise technology transformation initiatives.

3. SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & Business Intelligence

• Implement and manage SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

• Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, analytical reports, and business intelligence solutions.

• Enable real-time reporting and predictive analytics.

• Support strategic and operational decision-making through enterprise analytics.

4. Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

• Lead implementation, administration, validation, integration, and support of LIMS.

• Ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient laboratory operations.

• Support laboratory automation initiatives.

• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.

5. Document Management System (DMS)

• Manage enterprise Document Management Systems.

• Implement electronic document workflows and paperless initiatives.

• Ensure regulatory compliance for document control, retention, and archival.

• Improve document lifecycle management across the organization.

6. TrackWise & Quality Management Systems

• Lead administration and support of TrackWise and Quality Management Systems.

• Support CAPA, Change Control, Deviations, Investigations, Audit Management, and Compliance processes.

• Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Validation teams.

• Ensure system reliability and regulatory compliance.

7. Cloud Infrastructure (AWS & Microsoft Azure)

• Manage enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Oversee cloud migrations, cloud governance, cost optimization, and performance management.

• Ensure high availability, scalability, resilience, backup, disaster recovery, and security.

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and optimize resource utilization.

• Implement cloud security best practices and governance frameworks.

8. Microsoft Technologies

• Manage Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and licensing.

• Administer identity management and access controls.

• Drive Microsoft platform optimization and modernization initiatives.

9. Data Center Operations & Infrastructure

• Oversee on-premises and co-located data center operations.

• Manage enterprise servers, storage, virtualization platforms, backup systems, and environmental controls.

• Ensure infrastructure reliability, uptime, preventive maintenance, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.

• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives across manufacturing plants and corporate offices.

10. Server, Storage & End User Computing

• Manage Windows and Linux server environments.

• Administer storage systems, virtualization platforms, endpoint computing, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Ensure optimal performance, monitoring, patch management, backup, and lifecycle management.

11. Networking & Telecommunications

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and telecommunications infrastructure.

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security across multiple business locations.

• Manage ISP, telecom vendors, leased lines, bandwidth planning, and network optimization.

• Ensure resilient and secure enterprise connectivity.

12. Cybersecurity & Information Security

• Develop and execute enterprise cybersecurity strategy.

• Manage firewalls, endpoint protection, Identity & Access Management (IAM), SIEM, vulnerability management, SOC coordination, and incident response.

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, penetration testing, and security awareness programs.

• Ensure protection of business-critical applications, infrastructure, and sensitive information.

• Maintain compliance with information security standards and best practices.

13. Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & Disaster Recovery (DR)

• Develop, implement, and maintain IT Business Continuity Plans.

• Design Disaster Recovery architecture for enterprise applications and infrastructure.

• Conduct periodic DR drills, recovery testing, and business continuity assessments.

• Ensure redundancy and resilience of mission-critical systems and cloud platforms.

14. Computer System Validation (CSV) & Regulatory Compliance

• Lead Computer System Validation (CSV) activities for GxP-regulated systems.

• Ensure compliance with:

  • 21 CFR Part 11

  • GAMP 5

  • ALCOA+

  • Data Integrity Guidelines

  • GxP requirements

• Prepare and review URS, FS, DS, IQ, OQ, PQ, Validation Reports, Risk Assessments, and SOPs.

• Coordinate regulatory inspections and computerized system audits.

15. IT Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Develop, review, and implement IT policies, SOPs, governance frameworks, and standards.

• Establish IT governance mechanisms for enterprise technology.

• Manage IT risk, internal controls, audit readiness, compliance monitoring, and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure effective information security governance and data management practices.

16. Vendor, Stakeholder & Contract Management

• Manage relationships with SAP partners, cloud providers, infrastructure vendors, technology suppliers, consultants, and managed service providers.

• Lead vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, SLA management, and performance reviews.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business-focused technology solutions.

17. Project, Program & Portfolio Management

• Lead enterprise IT projects from planning through execution and closure.

• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and quality.

• Drive successful delivery of SAP, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Develop enterprise technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy.

18. Budget Management & Strategic Planning

• Prepare and manage annual IT budgets.

• Optimize IT investments and operational costs.

• Develop long-term technology roadmaps supporting organizational growth.

• Recommend emerging technologies that improve business performance and competitiveness.

19. Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor cross-functional IT teams across applications, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and support.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

• Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and succession planning.

• Drive high-performance execution and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Master's Degree (MBA/M.Tech/MCA) preferred.

• Relevant certifications in SAP, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Cybersecurity, Networking, ITIL, PMP/Prince2, CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, or related technologies will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 15–20 years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven experience in SAP Rise implementation and enterprise application management.

• Strong experience in digital transformation, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise networking, and IT operations.

• Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP SuccessFactors, LIMS, DMS, TrackWise, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, CSV, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
