  1. To ensure strict compliance with the work permit system, (hot work. Cold work, vessel entry, height work and digging work, TREM card) and ensure non-deficient work permits are issued at site
  2. To conduct regular meetings with the worker safety committee and management safety committee and discuss the deviations in the safety system, suggestions and requirements of the workers.
  3. To plan and co-ordinate regular plant safety audits and HAZOP study.
  4. ensure electrical safety by auditing all electrical installations, panels and transformers/earth pit and connectivity.
  5. To ensure the upgradation of all the safety instructions and MSDS boards displayed at all process areas.
  6. To impart training to employees and contractor workers regarding safety aspects.
  7. To initiate investigation of any accidents/ incidents and plan necessary corrective & preventive action to avoid recurrence
  8. Conducting Mock Drills & carry out evaluation of effectiveness and provide training to employees regarding the emergency exit plans, safe assembly points.
  9. Strict Implementation of Contractor Safety Management Guidelines
  10. Preparation of SOP’s, ensure implementation, timely review and maintain all other documentation (GMP, ISO and other regulatory/statutory requirements)
  11. Conducting Hazardous Area Classification for all existing plants/facilities at site, ensuring Zone classification
  12. To conduct regular meetings with the worker safety committee and management safety committee and discuss the deviations in the safety system, suggestions and requirements of the workers.
  13. To prepare and update the On-site and Offsite emergency plans and execution of the mock drills practically.
  14. To standardize and implement the Process Safety management in plants.
  15. To continually update with technology for upgrading the existing Emergency management system.
