Job Summary: This role will be responsible for handling a diverse range of financial and administrative tasks at our Barnala plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record in managing financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Works Accounts, Billing, and Banking:
- Oversee all accounting, billing, and banking activities related to the plant's operations.
- Ensure timely processing of transactions and proper maintenance of records.
2. Accounts Management:
- Maintain accurate financial records for the department.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports in accordance with accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and accounting regulations.
3. Bill Verification:
- Scrutinize all incoming bills for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify the authenticity of invoices and accompanying documents.
4. Export Consignment Supervision:
- Oversee all aspects of export consignments, including documentation and compliance.
- Coordinate with customs and other regulatory bodies for smooth shipment processing.
5. Direct & Indirect Taxation:
- Calculate and process payroll taxes for plant employees.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and timely submission of tax filings.
6. Government Liaison:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and various government departments.
- Ensure smooth communication and handling of compliance, permits, and any necessary documentation.
7. Cash and Bank Management:
- Control and manage plant-level cash and banking transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate cash flow records.
8. Land and Asset Management related responsibilities:
- Assist with property-related transactions and legal documentation.
- Ensure all land-related matters are handled efficiently and within legal frameworks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification.
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
